Pakistan and Afghanistan endeavor to double trade by 2017

    ISLAMABAD:  Pakistani and Afghan populace wishes to double the trade volume from US $2.5 billion to 5 billion. Hence earnest efforts are underway to meet all the challenges including visa related disputes and road sanctions. Principally it has been agreed to form a committee headed by the Afghan Ministry of transportation and the Pak ministries of communication, railways and commerce in order to remove all hurdles towards augmentation of trade. Officials stated that Pakistan was waiting for a trade accord to be formulated by Afghan Ministry of Commerce. AIMAN INAM
